I should have mentioned a very important detail, which I didn't realize the original poster said, my scenario involves the 93108TC-EX in NX-OS mode (so standalone), not ACI mode.

I want to connect a northbound link from a UCS 6248 fabric interconnect to this switch. My only supported transceiver option is to use an SFP+ in the FI and one in a QSA module on the QSFP port on the 93108TC-EX (non ACI).
I don't plan to use the L3 capabilities of the 9K switch at this time (long story). I simply want to trunk my VLANs over this connection.
You're saying this older/basic design, which I currently have connected to an old 2960 SFP uplink port, won't work?

There wasn't even a 3.2(3c) release, as far as I can tell. Everything is working as expected, but the mismatched version is making us scratch our heads.
Has anyone else encountered this?

Yeah, that's what I figured. I can always move my storage to iSCSI if I REALLY need the extra ~2Gb increase.

I currently have a UCS Mini w/ two 6324 FIs in a UCS 5108 chassis.
The max speed FC ports support is 8Gb. Are there any newer FIs available for the mini that support 16Gb FC?

I'm trying to simply create a port channel for 2 Uplink Eth Interfaces for each of my FIs. Very common/simple thing to do.
However, to not have any downtime I thought I'd configure FI-B with the port-channel first and make sure it works. Then I could just fail over to FI-B and do FI-A without any noticeable disruption to our LAN traffic.
FIs are: 6248UP
Firmware: 3.1(1g)
My simple question is this:
For this instance I'm using the UCSM GUI (it's the same behavior whether I'm using the thick/Java based client or HTML5 UI).
I scope UCSM's focus under LAN > LAN Cloud > Fabric B > Port Channel.
I select Create new Port Channel. Notice it gives me a preview of the port channel in the background as I'm creating it...
Why does it show Fabric ID as "A" when I'm scoped and creating it on on Fabric B??
