is there any way i can fix the problem with my fa0/1. show int command tells me that the interface is up and line protocol is down. any suggestions as to the cause of the problem.

My router is running IOS ver 12.2. I want to apply ACL to the S0/1 interface but the only option there is access-expression. Does it mean that ver 12.2 doesn't support access-group command. How do I solve this problem.
