Hi all My first post! I have two Cisco 2802I-E-K9 AP's that won't join our WLC5508. WLC Software version is 126.96.36.199. We have loads of the same model connected and working, however these two won't join. AP boots up but never joins the controller. Jumped on to the CLI through Putty and noticed there is no login prompt and the messages below keep repeating: [*08/31/2019 00:01:21.7670] Waiting for POE negotiation to complete [*08/31/2019 00:01:21.7670] [*08/31/2019 00:01:26.1188] PoE negotiation complete, starts radio [*08/31/2019 00:01:26.1260] SYS-COND: AP is in fair condition [*08/31/2019 00:01:26.2492] Started Radio 0 [*08/31/2019 00:01:26.2497] PoE negotiation complete, starts radio [*08/31/2019 00:01:26.3793] Started Radio 1 [*08/31/2019 00:01:30.7688] Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration [*08/31/2019 00:01:35.7701] Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration [*08/31/2019 00:01:40.7713] Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration [*08/31/2019 00:01:41.7715] Resetting wired0 and[08/31/2019 00:01:41.8000] wired0: stopped restart DHCP client [08/31/2019 00:01:43.8900] wired0 emac 2: link up [08/31/2019 00:01:43.9400] wired0: link up [08/31/2019 00:01:43.9900] wired0: started [*08/31/2019 00:01:44.0399] aptrace_register_sysproc_fn: duplicate registeration for 'wired' [*08/31/2019 00:01:48.1460] Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration [*08/31/2019 00:01:53.1472] Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration [*08/31/2019 00:01:58.1484] Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration [*08/31/2019 00:01:59.1486] Resetting wired0 and[08/31/2019 00:01:59.1800] wired0: stopped restart DHCP client I read there is a bug with some 3800/2800 AP's and one workaround is to manually set an IP address on the AP. I'm happy to try that but don't get a login prompt and cant see how to set it? Anyone had this problem and any tips on how to set an IP manually on them from the cli please? Happy to post entire boot up log if it helps. Thanks!

I have a 3850 that I have configured to be the director for smart install. It is also the TFTP and DHCP server.
I plugged in a client C2960 switch and watched it receive the upgrade code and basic configuration template.
Worked very nicely! Happy days!
I then erased the same client switch to see if it would at least load the config file back on.
It failed at the code upgrading part.
Is there a way for the director to check the code, move on if its correct and then load the config?
It seems if a switch with the correct code already loaded joins - the smart install fails.
No doubt I have something wrong.
Here is my config on the director:
int vlan 1 ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0 no shut
host name Director_Switch
vstack dhcp-localserver smartinstall address-pool 10.10.10.5 255.255.255.0 default-router 10.10.10.1 exit ip dhcp remember
vstack director 10.10.10.1 vstack basic vstack hostname-prefix Test_Switch
vstack group custom WS-C2960-24TC-L product-id image flash:c2960-lanbasek9-tar.122-46.SE.tar config flash:C2960_24TC_Config.txt match WS-C2960-24TC-L

I've been asked to assist converting an existing configuration on a PIX 506e running 6.3(5) to an ASA5520 running 9.1(5). I'm not able to download and use the pix to asa tool as I don't have the required contract. I have a good idea on what to change on some of the configuration but need help with the rest. I've attached the PIX configuration. I have edited in places for obvious reasons. Could anyone help me with what needs converting please? This is my start so far for the ASA: hostname ASA5520 domain-name NAME.net ! interface GigabitEthernet0/0 nameif outside security-level 0 speed 1000 ****> need to do this? duplex full ****>need to do this? ! interface GigabitEthernet0/1 nameif inside security-level 100 policy-map type inspect dns preset_dns_map parameters message-length maximum 512 policy-map global_policy class inspection_default inspect dns preset_dns_map inspect h323 h225 inspect h323 ras inspect http inspect pptp inspect rsh inspect rtsp 554 inspect sip inspect skinny inspect sqlnet inspect tftp ! object network name host x.x.x.x Thanks for any help.

Hi there Sorry for the late reply! I have since abandoned this setup to use a VPN concentrator in one of our test labs instead. The setup is easier and I'm working on it now. Thanks for your help.
