have a strange issue today one of our cisco switches decided to stop working, both SFP have gone down, these are connect back to the comms room by fibre,

I dont know if anyone can help but i have a core that for some reason every 3 to 4 weeks will drop and reboot,
details are
cisco WS-C6509-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.4) with 1040384K/8192K bytes of memory.Processor board ID SMC122300BBSR71000 CPU...
We have swapped over switch which was advised but still have no fibre connection, also no connection back on the core with the same disconneted, have to say im at loss with this one and partners arent much help.

we do have maintance contract but they are dragging there feet as this has been going on for a while.
they wanted the modular switch model and supervisor,
but as said they are taking ages coming back to me,
