Hello Telecastle, Thank you for sharing your issues with the Support Community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. The only thing I could think of that would cause this kind of behaviour is that your switches were not both configured the same when uploading the config. Meaning that most probably, the config you had on the SG300-28 was a layer 3 configuration, while the upgraded SG300-28P was still in layer 2, meaning you did not change the system mode before you uploaded the configuration. Could this be the case ? I've been looking for release notes for the 1.1.2.0 firmware version but unfortunately this is not available on the Cisco website at this moment. I'll see if I can get a hold of it to verify if any incompatibility issues are mentioned. Edit : the Sx300 FW 1.1.2.0 release notes can be found here, but no such problems are mentioned when upgrading from v 1.1.1.8 to 1.1.2.0. Hope this helps, Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Hello Thai, The PPTP is not set up between the 2 SRP527, but between your PC and the SRP527 hosting the network that has the printer. You just need enable it on the router and create a user (PPTP instead of QuickVPN). Then with the built-in PPTP client on your PC or MAC you can establish the connection and be able to print to your printer within the network. Hello Thai, I'm afraid this is not supported by the SRP527W (product limitation). A workaround however could be to connect through PPTP or SSL VPN to site A to be able to print to the local printer there. Does that solution work for you ? Hello Thai, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. Basically the only thing you would need to be able to print from one side to the other is the VPN tunnel, no forwarding is needed. Let's say you want to print from Site A to a printer installed on Site B. You just configure the VPN site-to-site connection on both sites with the correct subnets. Afterwards, on site A, you just add the printer with the TCP IP Port of the IP address it has on site B. If you can ping the printer to the tunnel, you can print to it, unless you set up some security policies in your network to prevent that from happening. Hope this helps, if you need any assistance on the configuration, please do not hesitate to contact your local Small Business Support Center. We will be happy to assist you ! Hi Mark, I'm afraid there is no official guide for the CLI on these switches as it is not officially supported, reason why it is not mentioned in the administration guide. However, you could easily use the ? and Tab functions to see what commands are available. Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Hi Eugen, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. You might want to check the remote subnet settings in the IPSec policy on the site that does not have internet access. Seems to me like you are sending all traffic through the tunnel, which might explain why you don't have internet access and why the traffic drops at the default gateway (the remote site is not expecting this traffic and thus drops it) If you would have any other issues, do not hesitate to contact your local Small Business Support Center. Numbers can be found here Hope this helps ! Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Hi Curtis, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. There are a lot of things that could go wrong setting up the connection using QuickVPN, and honestly, it does not always work flawlessly because it depends on many factors, including your PC and what's installed on it, the router that is your default gateway, etc .. However, here are some things that you might try : set the compatibility mode for QuickVPN to Windows Vista SP2 and run it as an administrator uninstall (not just disable) Kaspersky make sure that the PC you are connecting from is in a different subnet then the subnet behind the RVS4000 Windows Firewall and IPSec service have to be running. Now try connecting to the RVS4000, hopefully this does the trick. I have it working in the same way on my laptop (W7 64-bit), but as said before, there are other factors that could have some influence on succesfully establishing the connection. Hope this helps ! Hello Mark, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. To access the CLI, go to the entry page of the menu based console, then press Ctrl+Z and type lcli. You will need to enter your login credentials again, after that you will arrive in the CLI. Please note that the CLI on the SxE switches, although much similar, is not exactly the same as Cisco IOS. Hope this was informative for you ! Hello Fairooz, Mark, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. To access the CLI, you need to make sure that the firmware version on your switch is at least 1.1.0.73 or preferrably higher. Then enable telnet or ssh on the switch and when opening either of those sessions or a console session you will see that you are in CLI mode. You can revert to the menu based console using the command menu. Hope this answers your questions ! Best regards, Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Hi Srinath, If the response times for your servers seem correct to you, you can safely disregard the high response time on the switch. You'll see that if the switch load gets higher, response time for the switch will increase even more, while ping times to the devices, servers connected to the switch will be almost the same as the results you had now. If you think my answer is the correct solution to your request, thank you for marking the question as answered Have a nice weekend ! Hi Derek, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. I'm not sure what goal you are trying to achieve by configuring a static IP on each of the ports. However, I can tell you that you cannot assign IP addresses to individual ports on the SF 300 series switches. What you can do however, is create VLANs and assign an IP address to each VLAN, then you assign the port to the VLAN. This way, each individual port could have a "virtual" IP address. Note that the switch has to be in Layer 3 mode for this and that if you want to enable traffic between the ports, you will need to enable inter vlan routing either on the switch, either on the router connected to the switch, otherwise traffice between ports (VLANs) will not be allowed. Hope this helps ! Best regards, Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Hi Amit, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. Actually this pop-up is a warning to remind you that when you change the IP address, you might loose connection to the switch if you don't change the IP address/subnet information of your PC network adapter. While for most people this is quite obvious, not everyone is very technically savvy, hence this warning. As stated by JasBryan, there is indeed no way to disable this message. Hope this answers your question. Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Hello Srinath, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. The response time from the switch could be considered as quite normal. Reason for this is that the switch gives CPU priority to it's actual duties which would of course be switching, access lists, VLANs, QoS, multicast and DHCP snooping etc etc. As a result of that, ping response times of the switch itself do not show in any way the correct working of the switch. I invite you to try pinging clients connected to the switch, you should be able to notice that response times to the clients are a lot lower than response times of the switch itself. Hope this answers your question ! Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA - CCNA Security

Dear Krzysztof, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. As for your first question, yes, ports from 2 different switches in stacking mode can be added to the same LAG. For STP settings, as the switch configures the LAG as being one port, you have to configure these settings on the LAG, not on the separate ports. Hope this helped, Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA

Hi there, Thank you for participating in the Small Business support community. My name is Nico Muselle from Cisco Sofia SBSC. I'm afraid Sx200 (Smart) Switches only support 4 LAGs. This is a product limitation. You can find this information in the administration guide (find it here) on page 81. There is no way to upgrade this number. The Sx300 series switches (fully managed) support up to 8 LAGs. Hope you found this information useful. Best regards, Nico Muselle Sr. Network Engineer - CCNA
