I am now working with 6.3.3. This one connects it's console not to the VGA port, but to serial 0, which eve-ng connects to so, here I can actually configure my root user with it's password - and login.
I see this has been open for a while but has it been resolved so far? @taoza actually, what happens when you boot an xr9kv-9.3.3 on eve-ng, is that it asks you to use the VGA port to configure is, because this is where the iosxr default console goes....
We actually do not work daily with the ISE, so the short period of stability may be a coincidence. The installation worked fine as long as it was not touched... which was about a week. However, when I configure, I won't be able to login the next day....
