Something wierd happening . . . A few months ago, the power supply failed on two switches on two different stacks (one on each stack). I got replacement switches from TAC and installed them. Now, I'm finding that CNA cannot see those two switches. It...
I have not been able to mirror firewall traffic to surf control since we changed switches to catalyst 4506. I have the following commands entered where Gi5/23 is the firewall interface and Gi5/12 is the SurfControl interface:monitor session 1 source ...
Just got Kiwi Syslogd and now I'm seeing things I was blissfully ignorant of before .... I have a printer that's connected to a port that's set to auto duplex and auto speed. The printer itself does not have a way to set the duplex/speed. It is nego...

It looks like the NIC card on that printer is actually hard coded to operate at half duplex. I changed the port setting to half and the errors went away. I guess that printer is an old one. I had assumed it would autonegotiate since you can't change ...
Since we don't have more than one of those Netgear miniswitches on any switch, I guess it's OK then. If they are really switches, then it doesn't apply in this case. Thanks for the info.Mary
