What is the best practice when it comes to using DAI, UDLD, and BPDU Guard together?Usually, on trunk ports I set DAI to "trusted" when it is feeding other managed switches or equipment but endpoints I have it set to not trusted for anything else.Wit...
I am currently having an issue with the static routes and maybe I am misunderstanding. On the Meraki MX, I have a subnet for example 192.168.200.0/24 VLAN 10 by default it will go out the WAN to do whatever it needs to do. Now, let's say I need it to...
In terms of security, what is the best way to help harden a network regarding Firewall Policies and ACLs on switches? For example, lets say I create a rule on the firewall to block 192.168.1.0/24 from talking to 192.168.2.0/24. Should I also create an...
I have a quick question regarding SDWAN.So imagine this network is currently a star topology, each of the ends are cisco switches and the center is a palo alto firewall. They are looking to make each of those sites that have a cisco switch to have th...
I have a quick question that I need assistance with.So here is what I'm trying to do.I have my modem in which is going to a switch, the port that is going to the modem and the computer are both configured as an access for VLAN 300. Just looking to ta...
That makes a lot of sense! There are some segments that I don't want each other to talk no matter what and was considering not only putting in firewall rules but also on these Meraki switches, adding the same rule for all types of traffic to be an ACL...
I figured out the problem why it wasn't working, it was a problem with how the cable had it's fitting and was shorting out.If you do have some ideas on the best way to go about the whole VM Firewall thing, feel free to advise
The biggest problem I ran into is when I go into the VLAN, I don't have a command for autostate anywhere. If no autostate doesn't exist on that switch, what would be the next step?
Yes,I have ports assigned to this VLAN as access ports.Everything works fine when the VLAN is up, it just doesn't come back up automatically if power is lost to the switch.
So for example if lets say the off-site switch interface for the VLAN lets say is 50 10.0.50.1 and at the main site it's 50.0.50.2 we can use different areas?VLAN 1 isn't used anywhere since that was purged out.
