One of our ASA5505 can not ping the gateway today.
But when I use a notepad , using the same IPs, it can ping the gateway !!!
It is so strange, the ASA5505 was working ok before until today.
Is there anyting I can do to check whether the ASA is ok ?

Hi,
By default the ASA should allow any ICMP messages when the target is its interface IP address. In this scenario I mean it should by default allow the ISP gateway to send Echo Reply to its interface.
You can check the output of the command
show run icmp
And look through the output for any configuration denying ICMP to the "outside" interface

I permit icmp any any both in inside and outside interface for test.
the result of show run icmp is
icmp unreachable rate-limit 1 burst-size 1
Considering the ASA5505 suddenly can not be ping , is it possible the ASA was broken or any other hardware problem ?
I have erase all the configuration and re-config it ,but still not ok.
Is there any method to restore to factory default in hardware type ?
--- Anyway, the problem was solved, we made a stupid mistake, the orders of RJ45 of the cable was wrong.
Oh may god !
