AnyConnect License Activation

Hello,

We are in the process of deciding what to do about upgrading our ASA 5512x, and it has come up that our AnyConnect licenses that our tied to our account expire soon (today!).  We've got new ones purchased, but I never received any instructions on how to activate them.  Our partner contacted Cisco on our behalf, and the technician referred them here:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/anyconnect-secure-mobility-client/200191-AnyConnect-Licensing-Frequently-Asked-Qu.html

  1. Can you please walk me through the initial license registration process for an AnyConnect Plus or Apex License (L-AC-PLS-LIC= or L-AC-APX-LIC= only)?

Once I get it associated with our online account, is there any action I need to take locally on the ASA side?  Currently the ASA says this:

Licensed features for this platform:
Maximum Physical Interfaces : Unlimited perpetual
...
AnyConnect Premium Peers : 250 perpetual
AnyConnect Essentials : Disabled perpetual
Other VPN Peers : 250 perpetual
Total VPN Peers : 250 perpetual
AnyConnect for Mobile : Enabled perpetual
AnyConnect for Cisco VPN Phone : Enabled perpetual

...

AnyConnect Premium Peers : 250 perpetual

The line above will cover it.

Generally speaking unless you had the trial licenses or the (rare) time-based licenses AnyConnect licenses are right to use and won't deactivate when your support period ends.

I never received any email from Cisco or our reseller, PAK/PIN or otherwise, and the only reason I know the PAK S/N is because our reseller communicated to Cisco about the activation instructions and the SN was in the communication forwarded to me.  Waiting on a response to the license case I opened, so the fact that they won't get turned off tonight when they expire is great news.

Thanks!

You don't need to do anything on ASA because you have premium licenses
perpetual as per your output.
