AnyConnect Trial Activation Key Issue

Hello!

My company wants to try out the Cisco AnyConnect and I received the trial activation key from Cisco that would allow us to test AnyConnect for 13 weeks. However, when I enter the command below on ASA

activation-key xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx

I get an error "The requested key is an invalid timebased key". I also attached a screenshot of the error here. The ASA model we have is ASA 5506-X. Cisco TAC was not able to assist me with this issue because my company doesn't have a service contract.

Does anyone have an idea why the activation key wouldn't work? I'd appreciate any tips!

Hi @HTC 

Are you using the correct serial number? You would need to use the serial number from the “show version” command and not the “show inventory”.

FYI, with ASA software, by default you can connect 2 AnyConnect Remote Access VPN connections without a license.
