I use the Cisco Secure Client Anyconnect VPN for work. The desktop application connects with a password that's a combination of a 6 digit fixed password (say 123456) and a 6 digit temporary password (say abcdef) that changes every 30 seconds from the app SurePassID Authenticator.
Usually one can connect the VPN by entering the 6 digit fixed password, which prompts a second screen to enter the 6 digit changing password.
Alternatively, one can enter both password at once as 123456,abcdef
I used to utilize a third method where instead of entering abcdef one could enter a question mark 123456,?
The question mark would prompt a push notification to "approve" or "deny" on your mobile device to establish access. This method I found significantly easier than copying the 6 digit code from the app to the desktop prompt.
Recently using the push notification method results in the following failure:
"Login failed: Push authentication failed. Code=9030"
Using the previous 2 methods by copying the changing password still works. I am just curious why the push notification method is no longer working, and how it can be fixed.
