Hi All,

I have a customer running 8.6 code on their ASA and version 3.1.x AnyConnect.

I am getting the below message when connecting via the client

"The service provider in your current location is restricting access to your Internet, you need to log on with your service provoder before you can establish a VPN session"

customer was running on AnyConnect 2.4 and had a requirement to support Windows 8 + 10.

I tried AnyConnect 4.1 1st then 3.1 and same issues

Note:

On the AnyConnect client it mentiones "web authentication required" just under the address box - any thoughts?

Cheers!

James

Hi James,

It seems there is a captive portal on your network or at least the Anyconnect is assuming there is one, you can find more about thsi beahvhior and hwo to fix it on the following link.
