Is the statement below for ASA 8.2 still true for ASA 8.3 and above?
When you activate a permanent license, it overwrites the currently-running permanent and temporary licenses and becomes the running license
from ASA 8.3 licensing doc Q&A, I see:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa83/license_standalone/license_management/license.html#wp1455151
Q. Can I install a new permanent license while maintaining an active time-based license?
A. Yes. Activating a permanent license does not affect time-based licenses.
Thanks

Yes, when you activate the permanent license, it will overwrite the same feature temporary license.
However, if you are activating a permanent license on 1 feature, the time base license is on a different feature, it will not be affected.
