I got to admit that I dont know if PPTP requires anything else opened.

But the most common problem is usually missing the "inspect pptp" which you have.

I would suggest simply monitoring the ASA through ASDM while attempting the VPN connection to rule out situations where the firewall would be blocking the connections

There is not many NAT rules on the firewall itself so I dont see it preventing the connections

You can use the command "packet-tracer" to verify what the firewall is doing (or rather would do) to certain connection attempts

packet-tracer input outside tcp 1.2.3.4 1234

Hi Matthew,

First of all, please remove the public IP from your configuration, it is sentitive information that should not be shared here.

Please do the following:

logging buffered debugging

clear logging buffer

Then try to connect again and do "show log".

Please attach any logs related to the server or the PPTP client.

Thanks for your help, it turns out the client testing was the problem. The user testing was not able to connect, tested on another machine and all is working fine.
