ASA lisence clusters

hey！

i heard about the asa's lisence can be clusters.Such asa a lisence asa has 500 vpn users,if the two asa can become clusters,it will become to 1000 VPN.How to achieve? What's the call of the technique?

1. If you are talking about the new clusters-functionality, then there are no VPN-users as clusters don't support remote-access-VPN.
2. If you are talking about failover, then it was a change in v8.3 where both units didn't need to have the same license any more. Starting with that version both vpn-licenses are added up to the platform-limit. That means if you use two 5525-X with 500 AnyConnect Premium licenses each, you get 750 concurrent VPN-users (the platform limit). If both ASAs have 250 AnyConnect Premium licenses each, you end up with a Failover system with 500 Licenses.
