ATT Dialer with VPN 4.x

We're using the ATT dialer ver. 5.09. It works fine with VPN client 3.6.6 and below, but won't work with the 4.x client.

We run Win2K for an OS. The dialer makes it's connection to ATT, (internet only) and launches the VPN client. As soon as the VPN client opens up a connection, the Dialer drops.

Does anyone have experience with this and what have you found?

The 4.x client is a virtual adapter compared to the 3.6.6 client which places a shim in the TCP/IP stack. I have seen these kind of problems before with the 4.x client on certain applications. I would say there probably is not a work around and to continue to use the 3.6.6 VPN client over the AT&T dial-up.

Thanks. We've already identified a workaround and I'll go with that until I can get another release of the client from ATT that isn't so locked down.
