Hi,
I was just about to order a new C891F-K9 router, when i hit a snag.
According to the C890 datasheet I need the following license for the router to have SSLVPN:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/800-series-routers/data_sheet_c78-519930.html
FL-SSLVPN25-K9 Feature license SSLVPN for up to 25 users (incremental), for 15.x based Cisco IOS Software releases only
However, I also found the following EoL notice:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/ios-sslvpn/eos-eol-notice-c51-731468.html
End-of-Sale Product PartNumber | Product Description | Replacement Product Part Number | Replacement Product Description | Additional Information |
FL-SSLVPN25-K9 | Cisco SSLVPN Feature license - 25 users | SL-19-SEC-K9 | Security License for Cisco 1900 | - |
As you can see, nothing for the 890 platform. However, if I understand the EoL notice correctly, I do not need user licenses for the 1900 series if I want SSLVPN, just the security feature license, right?
If the above is right, is this also true for the 890 series? Do I no longer need user licenses for SSL VPN (on IOS, of course)?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 890 series only able to support 10 concurrent SSL VPN sessions? Why would I need the 25 user pack then?
