Can a mobile device (IPAD/Iphone) do clientless SSL VPN?

Hello all. I have an ASA 5540 running AnyConnect premium (25 users). I know that I need the AnyConnect Mobile license in order to use an AnyConnect client on the IPADs/Iphones. My question is - can I do clientless SSL VPN? Do I need the AnyConnect Mobile license for this?

Thanks,

You just need "AnyConnect for Mobile," license. This simply enables a mobile to act as one of the, "AnyConnect Premium Peers." Clientless access is via the web browser only and is again part of the count of "AnyConnect Premium Peers." I don't think an iPad or similar will launch via clientless, at least it did not when I tried. I think that has to do with not allowing installation of the VPN shim during use.

So in your case, if you have 25 premium, getting just the AnyConnect for Mobile key will enable a mix of clientless, anyconnect from a workstation, or a mobile client, up to 25 concurrent users.

can I do clientless SSL VPN on the IPADs/IPhones. not mobile client, but clientless.

Sure, why not..
Just hit via HTTP the portal from the Phone/IPAD and that's it
Clientless SSL VPN provides only basic rewriting for mobile access. We do not provide clientless VPN support for Java, auto applet download, smart tunnels, plug-ins, port forwarding, and e-mail proxy for mobile devices.      Also  clientless support on Mobile Devices like iPad ASA should be running at least 8.4.x. software version.
