i am able to vpn in just fine however i'm unable to access any network resources (i.e. files, email, etc). when i go up to status --> Statistics i've noticed that in the the transport section the transport tunneling = Inactive. i test with another PC and the status shows transport tunneling = Active on UDP port 4500 and it is working just fine. the PC that works is running cersion 4.6.00.0045 and the one that is not working is running 4.8.02.0010. i've disabled windows firewall but no difference.

has anyone experienced this before? any suggestion?

thanks!

Loren

The status you refer is most likely called: "Transparent Tunneling".

You can check the corresponding box on the transport tab of the vpn client.

Besides this, the other side (pix, asa) needs to facilitate this as well. Feature is called NAT-T.

For a pix, the following line needs to present:

isakmp nat-traversal 20
