We're having problems installing Cisco Anyconnect VPN client in new laptops which come with the windows10 anyversary update.
The client starts the installation and then hangs, eventually throwing an error:
'There is a problem wth this Windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
Looking into the laptop's event log / application i get this:
"Product: Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action VACon64_ndis6_Install, location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\VACon64.exe, command: -install "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\\vpnva-6.inf" VPNVA "
I've tried the solution here:

but it doesn't make any difference, same problem.
Hardware/Software details:
Cisco anyconnect version > anyconnect-win-4.2.01022-pre-deploy-k9
Laptops > DELL Latitude E7270
AV > ESET
Disk encryption > Checkpoint Endpoint Security E80.64
Anybody having these problems?
