Cisco AnyConnect VPN Software causing 90% drop in throughput

I use Cisco AnyConnect 4.2.04039 as my VPN client for my company.  I'm working remotely this week, connected to a fast Wifi Network (roughly 40-50Mbps dn, 10-15 Mbps up).  However, I notice that when I'm connected to the network through AnyConnect, my throughput drops by about 90% or more.  For example, when I'm connected to VPN, my download speed is about 1Mbps or less.
I have tried reinstalling the software and also experimenting with different corporate VPN tunnels.  Nothing seems to alleviate the issue.

Hello,

We will need more information than the Anyconnect client version that you are using.
If you are the admin managing the ASA or router where you are terminating the VPN, can you share the tunnel-group configuration on which your connection lands ?

We can tweak few parameters on VPN headend to see if that helps.
