Cisco AnyConnectClient Breaking Mac Finder

Hello,

I have been receiving continual pop ups for several weeks from Cisco Secure Client on my corporate Macbook saying "The VPN client agent was unable to create the interprocess communication depot." This pop up interrupts whatever I will be working on at the moment. Additionally, it seems to also have caused a myriad of issues with Finder. Along with the popup random Preview windows will open with old screenshots, or Finder will display random files. Additionally, Finder does not navigate properly like it used to, I have to click on a file and use the path in the bottom to navigate to my home directory. Finally, if I manually click on the Finder icon it will not always open properly. Please assist on how I can fix this

I had checked the existing articles but this solution seems to be for Windows
Additionally, I tried checking my sharing settings but they are controlled by the corporate profile

The Mac equivalent of ICS is Internet Sharing. Should be able to turn it off by following the below guide - and disabling it instead of turning it on Share the internet connection on Mac with other network users – Apple Support (AU).

Alternatively, if that doesn't work, try removing these files from /Library/LaunchAgents:

- com.cisco.anyconnect.vpnagentd.plist

- com.cisco.anyconnect.gui.plist

- com.cisco.anyconnect.notification.plist
