Dear All,

We have one Cisco ASA5510 firewall and we terminated 50Mbps leased line into that firewall.

We tested the Internet line by directly connecting to my laptop, got 49Mbps download speed and 40Mbps upload speed.

After  that we connected my laptop to firewall interface, we are getting  download speed 49 Mbps but whereas the upload speed is dropping to 4  Mbps. we tested many times but the issue remains same.

Let me know where is the issue? Is there any minor configurationrequired on the firewall?

Regards,

Satish.

Hello Satish,

There are many reasons that can cause this issue, one of them is the speed and duplex configured on the interface.Make sure that they are hard coded to what you want. (For ex Full-Duplex and 100 Mbps speed).

In order to troubleshoot this effectivly, please attach the output of the "show tech command.

Also, if possible, connect a PC to the inside interface and an FTP server on the outside interface. Then try to run some packet captures on both interfaces. Afterwards, attach the pcap files.
