Cisco IPSec VPN Client Disconnects

Hi, I work for a medium sized company (150-200) users and our users all use the Cisco IPsec VPN client to dial into our network and access local resources, we have one single person who has a problem maintaining the connection. They usually drop when transferring files but they have dropped with "regular use", which consists primarily of them RDP-ing into their office workstation.

They have the issue on a laptop which has a VM on it (windows 7 with a virtual PC with windows XP)

I have had them attempt to modify their MTU and its been everything from 576 - 1500 and the issue persists, Their home router doesnt have any MTU settings, and when they use wireless it appears to work fine. Because it appeared to work fine with Wireless I dont believe its an issue with his home network equipment so I had him try to upgrade his NIC drivers and the Cisco VPN software to 5.0.07.0290 which made the issue worse. These were all tested on the VM which tends to work better than the host Laptop. I dont have an installer for 5.0.07.0440 that isnt x64 so the .0290 was the latest version I could try. Im not sure where I can find the installers for that or I would have tried .0440

When he updated Cisco on his laptop to 5.0.07.0290 it could barely maintain a connection for a few seconds.

This person is the ONLY person having this issue in our organization so I know its not something wrong with the product but rather some frustratingly obscure setting that needs to be changed or something along those lines.  Alot of our people are also using older VPN clients simply because they work and havent needed to be updated. While wireless works its not a great option for him for a few reasons so I would like to resolve the issue on the Wired adapter but if he has to use wireless then he does.

Here is one of the log files, this session was about 5 minutes and he got disconnected.

Good thing is that you are not the only one having this issue, maybe you want to check these other threads that are having similar issue as yours and possible options to solve it.
