Cisco VPN client corrupted Microsoft L2TP client?

The customer is evaluating cisco VPN concentrator to replace the existing Microsoft VPN server.

When we installed Cisco VPN clients on our PCs, our existing Microsoft VPN client failed to work for IPSec/L2TP.

Even after we uninstalled the cisco VPN client, the MS IPSEC/L2TP client is stil not able to work.

This has been proven on quite a few PCs.

Is this a VPN client software problem? Any way to restore the MS l2TP client?

This can be because the uninstallation might have not removed the registry entries. This document can give you more information how to do it
