I installed Norton 360 Deluxe on my personal laptop few months ago. On the same computer, which runs windows 11, I had a Cisco VPN installed from the IT service at work.
Both programs worked smoothly together until November 21, when I tried to remotely connect and received this error message: “Cisco Secure Client - Login Denied - NonCompliant DAP=AV-VM_Failed Dispositivo con SoftwareAntivirus/antiMalware non installato o attivo. Premere su ‘OK’ per terminare la sessione VPN”
(translation: Cisco Secure Client - Login Denied - NonCompliant DAP=AV-VM_Failed Device with SoftwareAntivirus/antiMalware not installed or inactive. Press “OK” to end the VPN session”)
I checked the antivirus program, which is correctly installed and properly working.
In order to solve the problem, I brought the laptop back to the IT service, which uninstalled Norton (replacing it with Windows Defender) as they believe that was the only possible solution to keep the VPN running.
Can you confirm there is no way to have both Norton and Cisco VPN working together?

@SRoby this message " NonCompliant DAP=AV-VM" indicates to me your IT department is running DAP on the Cisco VPN for posturing the devices connecting to the VPN. The policy is probably configured with a list of supported Anti-Virus software and Norton is not one of them. Contact your IT department to resolve this, maybe the can add Norton to the list of support AV products or tell you which AV products are supported.
