Compression on Site to Site VPN tunnel

Does Cisco ASA support VPN compression on site to site VPN tunnels? If so how can I turn it on?

I currently have a VPN tunnel setup between two Cisco ASA running software version 9.0(2). Bandwidth between sites is limited and I would like to improve performance if possible.

Hi Paul,

No. Compression is supported for Remote Access VPN only. No, there are  no plans in near future because the software based compression doesn't  add much advantage to Lan-to-Lan tunnels.
