Debugging VPN on ASA

Hi Guys

Just a quick question, if we have issues with VPNs on ASAs and we want to look at the logs, we normally use ASDM as we have the level set to debugging.

My question is, would this show all debugging level logs for looking at VPN? or do we need to enable something else or do something in the command line, for example, the command debug crypto isakmp 7, would this not be shown in ASDM?

cheers

with ASDM, I think for myself is hard to troubleshooting the VPN,
can you use CLI ?

The logs you see on the ASDM are decided based on the severity level configured on the ASA. For example, if you configure the severity level 3 you will then see only level 3 logs. The command to set the logs severity level for ASDM is "logging asdm ...".
