DPD on ASA in EasyVPN NEM ?

Hello,

I got some ASA5505's in a hardware client setup - aka Easy VPN in Network Extension Mode.

I run 8.2.3 and I see from time to time that the headend (a VPN3030) drops the tunnel, but the ASA still keeps it up for no apperrent reason.

DPD i think ...

But is DPD enabled in Easy VPN mode ? I certainly can not configure it ?

I mean... I know that DPD works for IPsec clients but I don't think it's configurable for HW clients.

Do you know why is that tunnel giong down on the server side from time to time?

Hi Federico,

The headend concentrator just tells me DPD terminates the tunnel ...

Anyway I downgraded as this apprently is an issue that has been reintroduced in 8.2.3

It works in 8.2.1(11) and there is a bug ID on DPD in 7.2.4 ...
