Having error on AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client version 3.1.04072

Up to 2 weeks ago, I was using AnyConnect to connect to a client using their VPN cisco product.

And now when I tried to connect I get the following error.  I was using AVG free antivirus 2015 and worked fine until 2 weeks ago.

Login denied.

Error498 - A/V Software disabled. Please enable your AntiVirus software and retry.

 

I was told by the client, their new Cisco Anyconnect did not support AVG any longer, I removed the software, although when I tried removing AVG from the control panel, it never really removed it, I ended up removing the folders from the drive, and entering the registry and removing all related names to AVG, and then installed the Norton 30 days trial, test it again and again had the same exact error.

2 days later I was told, the Norton trial does not work with Cisco Anyconnect, again removed that program and bought the full version of Norton Security, and now I still have the same issue.

Could anyone point me to what else to do?  I will really appreciate any kind of help.
