Hello,
Does anybody know if with a 2811 or 3745 router, the built-in AIM for ipsec provides LZS compression also?
I would also like to know if a 7206vxr with the VSA module provides ipsec LZS compression too.
Thank you in advance,
Gabriel

The built in AIM in 2811 or 3745 does provides LZS compression. The VSA module in 7200 also can be used for LZS compression however using compression and encryption simultaneously will seriously affect the performance of the module.

Thank you very much for your response.
I presume that when you talk about providing compression you talk about offloading the main processor and making it not "in software", but "in hardware", with the specialized processor of aim/vsa. (I have to be 100% in order to buy them, or otherwise buy other modules - which is financialy unlikely.)
Thank you again.
