I have seen some PIX configuration examples that run IPSec over tcp. Does anyone know if the 501 is capable of this? Thanx.

No, the PIX does not support IPSEC over TCP 10000 this is a VPN concentrator family feature.
PIX uses NAT-T (isakmp nat-traversal 20) to overcome the NAT/PAT problem for VPN Peers.
