I have a branch router (1720 with 12.2 ip voice plus IOS)at a remote location.
This branch has a serial connection to the central office named A. Also has a backup connection to the central office A via backup isdn.
Here is the config
description *** Backup link to Central A, peer ip 10.102.2.57 ***
ip address 10.102.2.58 255.255.255.252
dialer idle-timeout 90
dialer string 11111
dialer hold-queue 10
isdn switch-type basic-net3
no peer neighbor-route
no cdp enable
ppp authentication chap callin
ppp chap hostname remote-branch
ppp chap password branch-password
Everything is working properly.
I tried to add a second dialer string (dialer string 222222) to the second central site named B , in order the remote branch to have an alternate connectivity to the services provided.
The config worked properly , when the central A router is down, the remote branch calls to the Central B router in order to have connectivity.
My question is:
Ios 12.2 version does not support the command dialer order in order to specify how the bri will try to connect.
This command is supported at 12.2T and later.
Does someone know how the dialer order is done without the specific ios command <dialer order> ?
Thanks in advance
Numbers are used in the order entered. If you want to change the order, remove all the numbers and enter them again.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
