Would the following command automatically begin the download of the AnyConnect client upon vistingloging into the vpn page, for examle "vpn.company.com"?

If not, what would be the easiest way to streamling the process. We are not using clientless vpn so there is no need for the page other than for downloading the client.

svc ask enable default svc

Hi Matthew,

Actually that command works for that purpose, obviously you will need the AnyConnect PKG uploaded to the ASA.

If you have not set up any bookmarks or any use to the WebVPN clientless, it will automatically prompt the download of the AnyConnect, and yes you may use that FQDN to access it over a browser.

Best Practice set up authentication at least.

David Castro,

Regards,

Thanks, that clears things up. But, what if you do have bookmarks or some kind of clientless functionality setup, would forcing the download install anyconnect then allow access to the clientless content? Could you share an example of how a situation it would be force installed?

Hi Matthew,

If you set up bookmarks on the clientless, once you type this on your browser ->http://vpn.company.com

+ It will pop up for the username and password (It will required Authentication, bu default uses Local Database)

+ Then once you have logged into the Clientless, there will be a menu like this, with an extra option "AnyConnect Client", if you click on that option you may download the AnyConnect.

+ Basically the process is (Open browser> Open clientless> Authenticate> The Home option is by default (Bookmarks), on the left hand side there would be the AnyConnect Option)

Do you have CSD enabled(For posture assessment)?

I hope this helps!
