We have successfully intalled and used the VPN client on Mac OSX 10.1 connecting to a Pix 515.

Has anyone done it with OSX 10.2?

Will it work? Or do we have to wait for another new version.

I have successfully installed VPN client v.3.5.2 (if my memory serves me correctly). In fact, I ported my PC VPN client profiles onto my Mac G4 Quicksilver running OS X 10.1.5. I have'n gotten my hands on Jaguar yet, but I will have it in a week, so I'll test it then. Also, I got a GUI interface for my VPN client.

10.1.x works for us just fine, and we also found the GUI. Let us know how your 10.2 turns out, even though I don't hold out much hope.

Thanks

What GUI???

Thanks,

Ben

The 3.x VPN client supposedly breaks under 10.2. 10.2 has a built in PPTP VPN app (Launch Internet Connect) So if you config your pix to support PPTP, you should be able to connect even if 10.2 does in fact break the 3.x client. I have a 5000 series, so I can't use the 3.x client so I haven't tested it.

We are using certificates for our initial authentication. I don't like relying only on username and password. So we've decided not to use the PPTP. We don't use it on Microsoft products and we won't use it with OSX either. Hopefully Cisco will fix this soon! Even though it was Apple who broke it!!!

I am running 3.6, and the Client connects fine, but unable to pass traffic (go anywhere outside the interface.)

Is this on OSX 10.2?

Seems as though this is a bug (CSCdy51818), and 3.7 will fix it, and it is do out in 2 weeks
