MacOS Hide icon on dock

Hello,

There is a way to hide the Dock icon on macOS? I tried LSUIElement with no luck...
All VPN apps have this option and as I can see, users want this feature since 13 years... 
So, if there is a solution, I appreciate your help!

It doesn't work. I had read this thread. When I remove /Library/LaunchAgents/com.cisco.anyconnect.gui.plist, it is automatically recreated and icon is still here in the Dock

Bump. I would really appreciate if the icon could be hidden when vpn is running, just showing the menu bar icon, it's not good for my OCD
