I ran 7.2(1) for 8 months and did not have any issues, and upgraded to 8.0(3) resently for the EIGRP support, however,it all depends on costumers network architecture out there and requirements and what have affected them, it is best to check bug tools database or release notes for fixes and pending issues just to be on the safe side or check on current bugs opened for the 7.2(1),7.2(2)and 7.2(3) train in which the three are still in the ED Early Deployement state. From what I have read in forum negative reports on 7.0.x even though 7.0.x is GD (GD much stable, at least thats the theory) but folks out there have upgraded to 7.2 if not to 8.0. You can do also a search in forum for 7.2 bugs to read end user reports. If you upgrade to 7.2 I personally would use 7.2(3).
