Does anyone have any sample configs or tips on connecting an IPSec VPN Tunnel (3DES) from a PIX 520 (6.2(2)) to a Netgear FVS318? The tunnel comes up when traffic is initiated from the Netgear end, but not when I initiate traffic from my internal network.

Hi Jrichv,
Unfortunately, there is no sample configuration at Cisco's web-site to configure a pix firewall and a NetGear device. It will be nice to collect the "debug crypto isakmp and debug crypto ipsec " on the pix firewall and then initiate a session. The debugs will help in isolating the issue
Hope that helps

I am remotely connected to my PIX, and even though I have the "debug crypto: ipsec and isakmp" turned on, I am not getting debug messages. Yes, I have typed in "terminal monitor", but to no avail.

Hi,
Pix firewall sends debug messages to only one session. Make sure that you don't have any telnet or any other SSH sessions opened to a pix.
Hope it helps

I am the only one logged in... I verified this, but it still doesn't work. It is in a remote data center, miles away, and its not practical to go to that site.

Hi,
does the connection work now? I have still the problem to establish the connection. Is it possible to mail me your configuration? In case of security problems let your Ip´s away from the config.
Please, please... thanks a lot,
Sebastian
