Hi,

I have a noc which operates at bangalore. The NOC takes care of devices at remote site. We want to monitor the remotes device thru a NMS. The NMS that i am trying to use is Xterm which allows us yo monitor devices from the sun server. But when i initiate the xterm connection it does not get connected.

Does it throw some kind of error messge ?

check what port xterm is using while initiating the connection and then chcek if that port is open in firewalls in your infrastructure.
