PIX VPN data download issue

HI,

we have a site to site VPN tunnel

Site A pix 7.01 and Site B pix 8.0

Currently the tunnel is up and we are able to access all encrption domain between the VPN but when we try to download 50mb file through VPN we are getting connection timeout

kinldy advice what could be the isse

Sounds like it might be MTU size issue. Try to decrease the TCP MSS to 1300 and test the download again.

Command to change the MSS settings on the PIX/ASA:

sysopt connection tcpmss 1300

The above is assuming that downloading smaller size file works fine.
