PPTP and IPSec

Good afternoon, hope everyone is having a pleasant day. Im sorta curious as ive only recently dived into the VPNs, can you have IPSEC running and PPTP? I ask because as soon as i enable IPSEC pptp clients are no longer able to communicate. They are able to connect but no communication, but lan-2-lan vpn seems to work great however. I thought maybe it was that i had a single acl group which was being referenced by both IPSEC and PPTP?

Yes, PPTP and IPSec can co-exist.

The reason they are failing to do so could depend on configuration.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by a single ACL group being referenced by both PPTP and IPSec?

It the PPTP clients are able to connect but not pass traffic, then apparently GRE is not working. What device are you using to terminate the VPN tunnels?
