Register DNS via VPN using ASA

HI,

We have been working for a while to get rid of WINS in our network. One thing that WINS has been helping with is that when users VPN in, they do not register their computer to the AD DNS server like they do when they are in the office. Since they do register with WINS, WINS has been taking care of that for us. So we have to find a solution for this

I would like to know if ASA can  register the users in DNS for them. I know the ASA can do Dynamic DNS but I don't know if that includes AD.

Anyone has a suggestion about this ? Thanks

Hi!

ASA cannot be a proxy in this scenario (registering users to AD).

If DNS only responds to registered users, maybe it would be good to have a separate server for VPN users?
