Remote Access VPN using DHCP server

Hi All,

I am trying to set up a remote access vpn. Instead of local ip pool i want use a dhcp server for ip address assignment for remote users. I have configured everything as per the configuration documents, till user authentication everything is fine, but after that the clients are fail to lease ip address from the dhcp server. My confusion part is, which ip address should i specify as the defatult router when i am creating dhcp scope in a dhcp server, i am using a Microsoft server for the same. Please guide me...

Thanks in advance.

Shijo.

Guys,

I found the answer myself, I have created a test scenario and imitated the situation. You need not to specify a default router when you are creating the dhcp pool in server. But in my scenario both the DHCP server and inside interface of my ASA are in same network, you may need to configure the helper address if both are in different networks.

Cheers,

Shijo.
