Hi all,

I need some info for my understanding. I have setup a IPSEC site2site tunnel for management. Tunnel is up and I can access the remote site management interface and all devices that connected to the mgt. network. That fine for me.

Now my problem.... When I ping form a switch that is located in the remote site and  mgt. subnet to the mgt. HQ it is working.

But when I ping direct from the asa interface the log show me this msg.:

Routing failed to locate next-hop for udp from NP Identity Ifc

Clould someone explain me this behaivour I dont really understand this....

Many thanks

Markus

Hi Markus, can you please clarify your topology and what you are pinging from where?

Also, the syslog mentions UDP so this is not related to the ping - since ping uses ICMP, not UDP. Is there any other syslog message when the ping fails (well, I'm assuming it fails, or is it working and are you just curious about the log message?).
