Hi, all sorry for such a simple question. But im hoping that someone could just solidify what i *think I already understand.
To my understanding Protocol 50, has been defined to me as (ESP). Others reference protocol 50 as (GRE). Is it defined as a combination of both?
Question: What is protocol 50...(ESP), or (GRE)...

esp is 50, ah is 51, gre is 47.
those are ip protocol numbers. udp is 17, tcp is 6.
if you have a unix box handy, take a look at /etc/protocols.
the one on windows boxen is terrible, it hasn't been updated for years it looks.
