Site to Site VPN with self sign certificate between Cisco ASA and Juniper

Hi Experts,

We are planning to establish site to site VPN tunnel between our Cisco ASA (IOS code 8.0) and Client Juniper SRX firewall with Self sign certificate.

Client is going to provide us Self sign certificate generated with their internal CA..

I have gone through some blogs which has suggested that it will not work for site to site VPN. Self sign certificate will work only for SSL VPN.

I have discussed the same with client but as per him Juniper devices support this.

I want to know whether it will really support before implemning it and got involved in troubleshooting.
