I have ordered and implemented the soho91 routers for some of my smaller customers. Everything is working perfectly although they asked if they could use this recently purchased equipment for a total VPN solution. I can't find any documents that explain if if can out of the box or if there is additional hardware / software needed for this type of solution. In any even if someone nows the answer or has worked with these routers please shed some light. Thanks

I currently run a Cisco SOHO91 as a filtering router that has a ADSL modem plugged into the WAN Interface. I use the SOHO91 to VPN into the office LAN. So basically my home LAN and Office LAN are connected via the IPSec VPN. The configuration for this very much depends on the IOS version running on the SOHO91 and what it's connecting to at the other end of the VPN.

i guess my question is if i have 2 soho91 vpn routers a dedicated internet between the both, with 1 having a static address is there a way out of the box to connect and configure a vpn tunnel without additional software?

Yes. You should probably have a look at some of the example configs from here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk583/tk372/tech_configuration_examples_list.html
But it is possible to have a VPN between the 2 soho91's using static or dynamic addresses. Obviously you need an IPSec capable IOS version running on the soho91 (EG: SOHO91-K9OY6-M)
