I'd like to manage my PIX by telnetting to it from the outside. I'd like to use the recommended method of creating a VPN and use VPN Client on my pc's side.
The documentation at :
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_61/config/sysmgmt.htm#15732 is kind of vague.
Does anyone have the required commands of an example that can share?
Regards,
IK

Set the telnet command to permit your VPN address range. When the tunnel is created, don't telnet to private or inside address of pix. Telnet to the public or outside interface.
This should work.

Have you tried using SSH client without the VPN connection? This is what I use...
On the PIX:
ssh
I use the free ssh client from http://www.ssh.com
