Troubles connecting with Vpn client 4.0.2 (B)

I am trying to connect to a remote network but it fails initializing the ipsec driver:

1 18:12:19.762 09/10/03 Sev=Critical/1 CM/0xE3100004

Failed to initialize the ipsec driver! Returned 1

I've had Cisco VPN client 5000 5.2.1 (for connecting to another network) installed previously but this was removed while installing the new vpn client.

Feels like I have tried everything by now, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am using: Windows XP professional with servicepack 1 and all the updates and fixes from windows update on a IBM T30 laptop.

After fiddling around for quite a few hours i decided to try the MSI package instead and it worked fine right away!

So if anyone else get this problem, try installing the vpnclient-win-msi-x.x.x.x-xx.exe package instead of the ordinary installshield package.

I am having another problem now though, when you are using dual screen (extended desktop) the dialog for

user/password, that pops up after successful connect,

is not visible, its opened somewhere outside of my screens.
